Biomass Magazine 11.19.08: Intrinergy to expand wood pellet, CHP projects
Intrinergy LLC, a United States-based builder, owner and operator of renewable energy facilities, has announced that due to increased demand its German subsidiary is doubling its wood pellet production capaciity. Meanwhile, the company has several projects underway in the United States to provide energy for industrial companies through its combined heat and power facilities.
Intrinergy, a U.S.-based renewable energy company, today announced that its German subsidiary, CompacTec KG, is doubling its wood pellet production capacity. Due to volatile and rising fossil fuel prices, the demand for wood pellets continues to grow throughout Europe.
Intrinergy, a U.S.-based renewable energy company, and Shanks Group plc, a leading European waste management company, today announced closing €34 million ($47 million) in debt financing from NORD/LB, one of Germany’s leading renewable energy banks, to begin construction of Intrinergy VARE Holdings, a biomass energy project located in Belgium.
