Intrinergy/Enviva Biomass is looking for a dynamic, experienced Wood Pellet Plant Manager, who will be responsible for pellet production, policies, systems, and process at one of its facilities in the Southeastern United States.  The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, floor-based manager with good organizational, managerial, and team-building skills, and a track record of operating with a sense of urgency to drive change and improvement in a wood pellet production facility.  Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating all plant-level operations, including production, cost, quality, safety, housekeeping, training, and maintenance.
  • Ensuring product quality and customer satisfaction 24 hours a day.
  • Determining staffing requirements. Interviewing, hiring, and training new associates.
  • Monitoring weekly cost analysis and making adjustments to labor, materials, and supplies to operate within budget.
  • Preparing and maintaining plant budget.
  • Maintaining overall plant safety. Ensuring safety meetings are conducted regularly.
  • Seeking out process improvement, cost-reduction initiatives, and product enhancements.

Ideal experience includes at least five years in a plant leadership position, and familiarity with hammer mills, drum dryers, environmental regulations, and emissions standards. Experience in the biomass or wood pellet industry and LEAN manufacturing is also a plus. Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) are required. Project Engineer

 

Intrinergy/Enviva Biomass is looking for two Forestry and Wood Products Project Engineers who will be responsible for leading the development of final project definition, budgets, and time lines, as well as conceptual and detailed engineering, installation, commission and start-up of wood pelleting facilities. The successful candidates will be comfortable leading the project team — directing internal and external engineering resources to deliver projects. Extensive travel is expected. Responsibilities include:

  • Determining Project Scope.
  • Leading and supporting conceptual and detailed engineering processes.
  • Reviewing and approving engineering drawings.
  • Developing and overseeing project time line.
  • Managing project costs.
  • Overseeing and managing project construction activities.
  • Evaluating and approving selection of process and power equipment.
  • Ensuring third parties are in compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Supporting startup, commission, and process improvement activities for existing facilities.

A BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years experience in a project engineering or wood product facilities engineering role is required. Training in Root Cause Analysis, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and engineering drawings (PFDs, P&IDs, Electrical Single Line and Elementary Wiring Diagrams) is essential. Marketing Associate

 

Intrinergy/Enviva Biomass is looking for a marketing associate to work at its corporate headquarters in Richmond, Virginia. The marketing associate will be responsible for managing the company website and social media, assisting with branding strategies, building presentations, composing internal and external written communications, and light administrative work, as necessary. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in the renewable energy industry, particularly with woody biomass. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite is essential, and familiarity with graphic design programs (CorelDRAW, Adobe InDesign) and content management systems (Adobe Contribute, WordPress) is a plus. Technician/Mechanic

 

IN Group Companies, LLC, a rapidly growing renewable energy company, has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Technician/Mechanic at its new facility in Louisville.   The Technician/Mechanic should have 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, including: experience repairing and aligning centrifugal pumps, installation of mechanical seals, and equipment lubrication.  They should also be familiar with blowers, turbines, and air compressors, and have experience with equipment rigging.  Troubleshooting, problem-solving, and basic welding skills are also required.  Proficiency with computer technology (Microsoft Office, database software, etc.) coupled with high attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential.  The position requires climbing stairways and ladders and lifting of up to 50 lbs.  This is a full-time position offering competitive salary and benefits.  Resumes, which must include current salary information, should be sent to: mark.harrison@intrinergy.com
