Overview
Intrinergy was founded on a simple premise: That corporate energy users best suited to benefit from advances in renewable energy technologies face many barriers to access that technology.
Financial, technical, or operational barriers exist between what is possible with renewable energy and what would naturally occur in the normal course of business. Intrinergy bridges this gap for its clients.
Intrinergy is an alternative energy supplier providing clients with environmental benefits and cost savings without requiring upfront capital expenditures. We do not develop technologies per se—our role is to identify the best energy solutions and to bring those technologies to work for our clients. Also, our technology suppliers are the best in the world, including those specializing in advanced combustion, gasification, and pyrolysis.
Founded in 2004, Intrinergy specializes in building, financing, owning, and operating renewable energy facilities. Intrinergy converts cost-competitive biomass into green electricity and thermal energy (steam) for industrial customers, helping to reduce their exposure to fossil fuel price volatility and carbon emissions. Today, Intrinergy operates facilities in Mississippi, Ohio, Germany, and the Dominican Republic; new facilities now in permitting and construction include projects located in Belgium, Connecticut, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. Collectively, these projects represent over $250 million in capital investment.
